The porpoises at Fjord & Belt is trained for various research studies.

The animal trainers are trained at Long Marine Lab in Monterey Bay in Santa Cruz, California, where they learned the handling of the animal's motivation and train them to psycho-physical tests (hearing in mammals where the correlation between physical parameters and animal perception / perception of  pitch and loudness among others are studied).

Fjord & Belt are  included in 4 projects. Projects carried out in collaboration with Finn Larsen, DTU Aqua, Kristan Beedholm, Aarhus University, Katharina Ottsen, Carsten Krog, Krog Consult and Danish fishermen. Projects funded by the Food, the EU's Fisheries Sector Program FIFG and Forest and Nature Agency.
