Parking is available at the Fjord&Bælt car park which has space for 50 cars. The car park is situated by the main entrance. During the busy summer months, the car park may be full, but there is ample parking space in close vicinity to Fjord&Bælt. Behind Kerteminde City Hall, for example, where there is almost always free parking spaces (no time limit). The City Hall is approximately 250 metres from the Fjord&Bælt main entrance. The City Hall is the brown building at the traffic lights north-east of Fjord&Bælt.

Fjord&Bælt allows general access for physically disabled persons using wheelchairs. However, in order to enable interesting exhibitions, the house does have some nooks and corners which will require a bit of patience. Many areas of the building have different levels that unfortunately cannot be negotiated by wheelchair, but then these same areas will always be accessible via other entry-points. An elevator will take you to the first floor where the lavatory for physically disabled persons is located. Wheelchair-lifts provide access to the aquarium basement and underwater tunnel. Please do not hesitate to ask the staff for a helping hand should you need it - they are there to assist you. Please note that admission is free for one person accompanying a physically disabled visitor to Fjord&Bælt.

If you are among our youngest visitors and still use nappies and ride a pram, your parents can borrow baby carriers or a carrying sling free of charge. In many sections of our exhibition, there is insufficient space for a large pram. We therefore ask your parents to park the pram in the reception hall and borrow one of our smaller baby carriers that won’t leave you in a tight spot during your visit. If you need a nappy change, the necessary facilities are located by the lavatories in the reception area and on the first floor. If you are very young, your mother will find a number of comfortable armchairs in the exhibition areas where you can be nursed in peace and quiet.

Most people work up an appetite after a long, activity-packed visit to Fjord&Bælt. In summer months, guests are welcome to enjoy their packed lunches at outdoor tables and benches. On rainy days, they can seek shelter under the giant awnings lining the Fjord&Bælt terrace. During winter months, visitors can eat their packed lunches in the underwater tunnel. School classes are welcome to use the education service room, if it is not in use.

Smoking is not allowed in the Fjord&Bælt buildings, nor in the outdoor areas by the porpoises and seals. Smoking is allowed in the outdoor café on the waterfront.

For the sake of our animals dogs are not allowed at Fjord&Bælt. You will find hooks for dog leashes in the walls outside the main entrance. We try to always have a bowl of fresh water there for your four-legged friend; should you not find a water bowl there, please let the reception know.

We take great care to always keep the Fjord&Bælt nice and clean. The lavatories are cleaned several times daily. Should you find, in spite of our efforts, something that needs cleaning, please notify a member of the staff so that we can do something about it immediately. Please note that all the waste bins in the exhibition rooms and outdoor areas are designed to allow the sorting of paper and cardboard from other waste material. Please help us do it right.
